Here is a free dirty dice game rules printable: a 5-page A4 PDF with the rules on one page, four pocket rules cards to cut out, and cut-and-fold templates for three pairs of dice (mild, medium and hot) plus a blank die and a time die. Download the dirty dice printable (PDF, free, no email), print it at 100% on thick paper, and you can play tonight with nothing else. The rules themselves fit in one sentence: roll both dice, the action die says what, the body part die says where, and you do it to your partner.

Preview of the free dirty dice printable: the rules page with How to play, House rules and four pocket rules cards, and the Mild dice page with an action die template reading Soft kiss, Whisper, Trace a word, Warm breath, Slow massage, Your pick
Page 1 is the rules and four pocket cards. Pages 2 to 4 are the dice, from mild to hot. Page 5 is a blank die and a time die.

What is in the printable

  • Page 1, the rules. How to play in four steps, the house rules, and two ways to change the game. Below them are four wallet-size rules cards with dashed cut lines.
  • Page 2, Mild dice. Action die: soft kiss, whisper, trace a word, warm breath, slow massage, your pick. Body part die: forehead, ear, hands, back, shoulders, your pick.
  • Page 3, Medium dice. Action: nibble, slow kiss, light scratch, almost kiss, squeeze, your pick. Body part: neck, earlobe, lower lip, collarbone, waist, your pick.
  • Page 4, Hot dice. Action: slow trace, ice cube, hot breath, pin (hold there), undo one button, your pick. Body part: inner thigh, hips, lower back, wrists, stomach, your pick.
  • Page 5, make your own. A blank die for six words of your own, and a time die: 10 seconds, 30 seconds, 1 minute, 2 minutes, until I say stop, your pick.

Every face is written to stay playful rather than graphic, so the sheet is fine to print at the office printer and leave in a gift bag. The six faces on each die come from our dirty dice game ideas lists.

The dirty dice game rules, printable version

This is the text on page 1, if you only need the rules:

  1. Agree the limits for tonight and pick a stop word. Thirty seconds of talking first makes every roll after it easier.
  2. Roll both dice. The action die says what, the body part die says where. “Slow kiss” and “neck” means a slow kiss on your partner’s neck.
  3. Do it to your partner for ten seconds to a minute, or as long as the time die says.
  4. Pass the dice. Take turns until one of you calls time.

House rules: anyone can re-roll anything with no reason needed; the stop word ends the game; “your pick” means the roller chooses; start on the mild dice and move up only when you both say so. Our full dirty dice game rules guide covers the three-dice and strip variations in more detail.

How to make the dice from the template

  1. Print at 100%. Turn off “fit to page” so every face stays a 32 mm square. Card stock (160 to 250 gsm) holds its shape best; normal paper works for one night.
  2. Cut along the outer black lines, keeping the grey glue tabs attached.
  3. Fold every line between two faces inwards. Run a ruler and the back of a knife along each line first for a crisp edge.
  4. Glue the grey tabs inside one at a time, closing the “your pick” face last.

Each pair takes about ten minutes. If you need dice in the next five, write the words on two ordinary dice with a fine marker and a numbered key, or skip the craft and roll dirty dice online in your browser.

Printable or app: which works better?

Paper dice are a nice gift and a good first game: they are tactile, there is no phone on the bed, and you choose every word. Their limit is the same thirty-six combinations every time. After a few nights you know them all.

An app fixes that. Dirty Dice has 785 dares across 14 decks, and many rolls come with a short twist (“pull back at the last second, twice”) that makes the same pairing feel new. Two decks with 105 dares are free; the others unlock with a one-time purchase. It runs on Android and iPhone, works offline, comes in 14 languages, and has a play-apart mode where two phones share one game with a six-character room code. If you just want to try the idea first, the free online roller uses the same two free decks with no download.

Ways to use the printable as a gift

  • Bridal shower or bachelorette: fold the mild and medium pairs and tuck a pocket rules card in a small box.
  • Anniversary or Valentine’s: fill the blank die with six things only the two of you understand.
  • Long-distance package: send the folded dice with one rules card, and keep a second set yourself so you can roll together on a video call.
  • Date night jar: drop the time die in with your other date night ideas. Our date night games for couples at home has twenty more to add.

Looking for the Christmas gift-exchange game with dice? That is Dirty Santa, a different game played with wrapped presents. This printable is the couples game.

Common questions

Is the dirty dice printable free?
Yes. The PDF is free to download and print, with no email or sign-up.

What size should I print the dice template?
A4 or US Letter at 100% scale, with “fit to page” turned off. Each face is 32 mm.

What paper is best for printable dice?
Card stock between 160 and 250 gsm. Thin printer paper folds fine but crushes after a few rolls.

What are the rules of dirty dice?
Roll an action die and a body part die, do the action to your partner on that body part, then pass the dice. Either player can re-roll, and a stop word ends the game.

Can I write my own words on the dice?
Yes. Page 5 is a blank die for six words of your own, plus a time die you can add as a third die.
