Type – Terms of Use

1. This Agreement

These terms govern your use of Type at typing.riekapps.com (the “Service”), provided by RiekApps (“we”). By using the Service you accept them. If you do not agree, do not use it.

2. The Free Tier

The typing tests (1, 3 and 5 minutes, with or without accents), the eight starter lessons, the timed transcription with office texts, the progress page and day 1 of the 28-day programme are free and need no account. We may change what the free tier includes, but we will not remove access to results you already have in your browser.

3. The 28-Day Programme Purchase

The programme (days 2 to 28, the personalised reviews, the drills and the long transcriptions) is unlocked with a single payment processed by Dodo Payments, the merchant of record. The price shown in the app is the starting price in euros; the final amount, including any tax for your country, is shown at checkout before you confirm. A purchase is tied to the account you are signed in with so it can be restored on any device.

It is a one-time purchase of a closed body of content, not a subscription: nothing renews and no further charge is made. It is not a promise of cloud services forever; should the Service ever be withdrawn, you will be able to export your progress.

4. Refunds

If the programme does not work for you, write to riekapps@gmail.com within 14 days of the purchase from the email you used at checkout and we will refund it in full. A refund revokes access to the programme; your progress and your results remain yours. Refunds are issued through Dodo Payments to the original payment method.

5. Accounts

An account is optional and is created by signing in with Google or an email link. You are responsible for access to the email address you use. You may delete your account, your synced data and your order records at any time from the account page.

6. What The Results Mean

The Service measures net keystrokes per minute, words per minute and accuracy on the correct characters you leave in the text, using strict position-by-position comparison. The downloadable result sheet is a dated self-assessment. It is not a certificate, it is not issued or recognised by any public body, employer or examination board, and we make no representation that any body will accept it.

Targets shown for civil-service exams (for example 220, 250 or 275 net keystrokes per minute) come from secondary sources and are training orientation only. The timed transcription does not reproduce the format, text, software or marking scheme of any official exam. Always check the official call for your exam. We do not promise a particular speed or improvement in 28 days or any other period.

7. Our Content And Your Data

The lesson texts, the programme structure and the software are the property of RiekApps and are licensed to you for personal practice only. You may not copy, extract, scrape, resell or publish them. Your results and progress are yours: you can export them at any time and we claim no rights over them. How we handle data is described in the Privacy Policy.

8. Acceptable Use

Do not attempt to bypass the purchase, automate typing to inflate results, overload the Service, or interfere with other users. Results produced by pasting or scripted input are flagged as unverified and may be removed from shared statistics.

9. Availability And Changes

We work to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. We may change, add or remove features and content, and may discontinue the Service with reasonable notice, in which case paid users will be able to export their progress. These terms may change; the current version is always on this page with its effective date.

10. Limitation Of Liability

The Service is provided as it is. To the extent permitted by law, RiekApps is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including the outcome of any exam, job application or test, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the programme. Nothing here limits rights you have as a consumer under applicable law, including your statutory rights in Spain and the European Union.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws applicable to RiekApps’ place of establishment, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections of the country where you live.
