Dearly – Terms of Use

1. Agreement

These Terms apply to the Dearly app (“the app”) provided by RiekApps. By installing or using the app you agree to them. If you do not agree, uninstall the app. The Privacy Policy explains what the app stores and what leaves your phone.

2. Your Diary

• Everything you write, record or add to Dearly belongs to you. RiekApps claims no rights over it and does not receive it.
• You are responsible for the photos and recordings you add, including having the right to keep them.
• The app is meant for people aged 13 or over.

3. Lock And Backups

• The PIN lock keeps your diary private on your phone. Because only a hash of the PIN is stored and we never see your diary, we cannot reset a forgotten PIN or open a locked diary for you.
• Your diary is stored on one device. Uninstalling the app, resetting or losing the phone deletes it unless you have a backup. Use Backup & Restore regularly; we are not able to recover lost entries.
• iCloud backup (Dearly Plus on iPhone) uses your own Apple account and Google Drive backup (Dearly Plus on Android) your own Google account; each is subject to that company’s terms and storage limits.

4. Licence

RiekApps gives you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app on devices you own or control. You may not:

• copy, sell, rent or redistribute the app or its themes, stickers and artwork;
• reverse engineer it, except where the law allows this despite these Terms.

5. Dearly Plus

• Dearly Plus unlocks every theme, paper, font and mood face, PDF export and iCloud or Google Drive backup. The price and period are shown in the app before you buy. The free version has no time limit.
• Yearly and monthly plans are subscriptions paid through Google Play or the App Store. A free trial, when offered, turns into a paid subscription at its end unless you cancel before then. Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, in Google Play → Subscriptions or Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. Uninstalling the app does not cancel them.
• Lifetime is a one-time purchase that never renews. Sale prices are shown with their end date and apply only to purchases made before it.
• Refunds follow the store’s rules. Restore Purchases on the Plus screen brings Plus back on a new phone signed in to the same store account.

6. Changes To The App

We may change, add or remove themes, stickers and features to improve the app.

7. Disclaimers And Liability

The app is provided “as is”. As far as the law allows, RiekApps gives no warranty that it will be uninterrupted or error-free.

As far as the law allows, RiekApps is not liable for lost entries or for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be excluded.

8. Changes

If these Terms change, the new version is published on this page with a new effective date. Continuing to use the app after that means you accept the new Terms.
