Couples Quiz Questions: 60 Fun, Multiple Choice and Deep Questions

60 couples quiz questions to test how well you know each other: funny, who is more likely, multiple choice and deep, plus simple rules and scoring.

CouplesQuizGamesDate Night

A couples quiz is a game where one partner answers questions about the other, and you score a point for every answer you get right. Below are 60 couples quiz questions in four sets: funny questions, "who is more likely to" questions, multiple choice questions with four options, and deeper questions for when the jokes run out. The rules and scoring come first, so you can start in two minutes.

How to play a couples quiz

  1. Both of you answer in secret. Read a question aloud. Each of you writes your answer on paper or in your notes app: you answer for yourself, your partner guesses what you said.
  2. Reveal together. Turn your answers over at the same time. A match is one point to the guesser.
  3. Swap. Next question, swap roles. Ten questions each is a good round.
  4. Score. 8 to 10 right: you've been paying attention. 5 to 7: normal. Under 5: you have something to talk about, which is the point.

The rule that keeps it fun: the guesser gets to argue. If they say "pizza" and the answer was "pepperoni pizza", a 30-second debate decides the point. The arguing is half the game.

Paper and a pen are all you need: answer in secret, then reveal at the same time.

  19. How do I like to make up after a fight?
  20. What do I want our life to look like in five years?

Couples quiz ideas: ways to change the game

  • Bet on it. Before each question, the guesser stakes 1 to 3 points on how sure they are. Wrong answers lose the stake.
  • Loser's forfeit. The lower score cooks dinner, picks up the takeaway or gives a ten-minute massage.
  • Party version. For a couples night or a bridal shower, one partner leaves the room while the other answers on paper. The returning partner guesses in front of everyone.
  • Long distance. On a video call, both of you type your answer in the chat and press send on "3". For more games that work apart, see couple games to play on your phone.

Couples quiz app: play it on two phones

If you'd rather not write the questions or keep score yourselves, Closerly is our couples app for Android and iPhone with a Love Quiz built in. You link your two phones once with a room code, then each of you picks an answer on your own screen. The app reveals both answers at the same time and keeps the score, so nobody can peek or change their answer after the reveal. It works on the same sofa or in two different countries.

The quiz has 660 questions in five levels. The Soft level (103 questions, sweet and funny) is free; the deeper and spicier levels come with Closerly Premium, and when one partner upgrades, both phones get it. The same room also has truth or dare, this or that, never have I ever and a couples dice game. Common questions

What are good couples quiz questions?
Questions with one clear answer your partner could know: favourite foods, habits, "who is more likely to" and four-option multiple choice. Mix easy funny ones with a few deeper questions.

How many questions should a couples quiz have?
Ten per person is a good round, about 15 minutes. Twenty each makes a full date-night game.

How do you score a couples quiz?
One point for each answer your partner guesses right. Both of you answer in secret, reveal at the same time, and swap roles every question.

Can you play a couples quiz long distance?
Yes. Play over a video call and send answers in the chat at the same moment, or use a couples app like Closerly that links both phones and reveals answers together.

Is there a couples quiz app?
Yes. Closerly has a two-phone Love Quiz with 660 questions; the Soft level is free.

What is a "who is more likely to" quiz?
Both partners point at whoever the question fits best, at the same time. You score when you point at the same person.
