VidSave – Privacy Policy

1. Account & Identity

• VidSave has no account system. We do not ask for your name, email address or phone number.
• RiekApps does not operate a server for VidSave, so nothing you do in the app is sent to us.

2. Links You Save

• When you paste a link or share one to VidSave, the app connects directly to the site that hosts the file to check its type and size, show a preview and download it.
• That site receives the request the way it would from a browser, including your IP address. Its own privacy policy applies to what it does with that request.
• The link itself is not stored after the download, and it is never sent to RiekApps.

3. Clipboard

• On Android 12 and later, VidSave asks Android whether the clipboard holds a link, so it can highlight the Paste button. Android answers without giving the app the clipboard text.
• The app reads the clipboard text only when you tap Paste.

4. Files And History On Your Phone

• Saved videos go to Movies/VidSave and images to Pictures/VidSave in your phone's shared storage, where your gallery and other apps can see them.
• The Library keeps, on your phone only, each saved file's name, type, size, save date, its location in your gallery and an identifier used to avoid saving the same file twice. Your quality preference is stored the same way.
• Uninstalling the app removes the Library and preferences. Files already in your gallery stay until you delete them.

5. Advertising

• The free version shows ads from Google AdMob: a banner, an optional rewarded ad you can choose to watch before a save, and an occasional full-screen ad between saves.
• AdMob may collect device identifiers such as the advertising ID, approximate location derived from your IP address, and ad interaction data to serve and measure ads. This is governed by Google's policy for partner apps.
• Where the law requires it (for example in the EEA, the UK and some US states), the app asks for your consent through Google's consent message before ads load. You can change that choice at any time in Settings → Ad privacy choices.
• You can also reset or delete your advertising ID in Android settings under Privacy → Ads.

6. Remove Ads Purchase

• Remove ads is a one-time purchase processed by Google Play. We do not see or store your payment details.
• The app checks Google Play's signed purchase receipt on your phone and keeps a cached copy so ads stay off when you are offline.

7. Analytics

• VidSave does not include an analytics or crash-reporting service. If that changes, this policy will be updated first, and it will never record the links you save.

8. Device Permissions

• Internet and network state: to reach the site that hosts a file, and to load ads.
• Notifications (optional): to show download progress and the finished file. Saving works without it.
• Foreground service: keeps a download running when you leave the app, with a visible notification.
• VidSave does not ask for access to your photos, contacts, location, camera or microphone. It adds files to your gallery through Android's media store, which does not require a permission.

9. Data Sharing

• We do not sell personal data.
• The only third parties involved are the site hosting a file you save, Google AdMob for ads and Google Play for purchases.

10. Your Rights

• Because RiekApps holds no data about you, there is nothing for us to access, correct or delete on your behalf. You control everything on your phone.
• Rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA apply where relevant. Write to us with any request.

11. Children's Privacy

• VidSave is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

12. Policy Updates

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version, and material changes are noted in the app's release notes.
