GPS Coordinates Map – Privacy Policy

1. Account & Identity

• GPS Coordinates Map does not require an account, email, or sign-up.
• We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or any other identifier from you directly.

2. Location Data

• The app requests foreground location permission to show your current position on the map and to copy your live GPS coordinates.
• Location is only read while the app is open and you have actively requested it (e.g., tapped the "Locate me" button).
• We do not collect, transmit, or store your location on our servers. We do not run any background location tracking.
• If you deny location permission, the app still works — you simply will not see your current position.

3. On-Device Storage

• Your saved favorites, dropped pins, and recent location history are stored only on your device using local secure storage.
• This data never leaves your device. Uninstalling the app removes all of it.

4. Map Tile Providers

• Map tiles are loaded from third-party providers as you pan and zoom:
  • Street layer: Stadia Maps (data © OpenMapTiles, © OpenStreetMap contributors).
  • Satellite & Hybrid: Esri ArcGIS World Imagery.
  • Terrain: OpenTopoMap (data © OpenStreetMap contributors, SRTM).
• When the app fetches a tile, your device's IP address and the requested tile coordinates are visible to the relevant provider. We do not control or receive that information.

5. Search & Geocoding

• When you search for a place or address, the query is sent to a third-party geocoding service to return matching results.
• We do not store your search history on our servers. Recent searches shown in the app are kept on your device only.

6. Advertising

• The free version of the app displays advertisements via Google AdMob.
• AdMob may collect and process device identifiers (e.g., advertising ID), approximate location derived from IP, and ad interaction data to serve and measure ads. This is governed by Google's privacy policy.
• You can opt out of personalised ads in your device settings (Android: Settings → Google → Ads).
• Upgrading to Pro removes all advertising from the app.

7. Analytics & Crash Reporting

• We may collect anonymous, aggregated usage statistics (sessions, feature usage) and crash reports to improve reliability.
• We do not build profiles to identify you personally from analytics data.

8. Pro Purchase & Billing

• The Pro upgrade is a one-time purchase processed by Google Play Billing.
• We do not see or store your payment card details — payment is handled entirely by Google.
• Your purchase entitlement is verified locally on your device using Google Play's receipts.

9. Device Permissions

• Location (foreground only): to display your current position. Optional.
• Internet: required to load map tiles, geocoding results, and ads.
• You can revoke any permission at any time in your device settings without losing access to other app features.

10. Data Sharing & Disclosure

• We do not sell your personal data.
• The only third parties that receive data are: map tile providers (your IP when fetching tiles), the geocoding service (your search query), Google AdMob (for ad serving), and Google Play (for billing).
• We may disclose information if required by law.

11. Your Rights

• Because the app does not collect personal data on our servers, there is nothing for us to access, correct, or delete on your behalf.
• You can clear all local data at any time by uninstalling the app or clearing app storage in your device settings.
• Region-specific rights (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) apply where relevant. Contact us for any specific request.

12. Data Security

• All network requests use encryption in transit (TLS).
• Local data on your device is protected by Android's built-in app sandboxing.

13. Children's Privacy

• GPS Coordinates Map is not directed to children under 13.
• We do not knowingly collect personal data from children; if we learn of such data, we will delete it.

14. Policy Updates

We may update this Privacy Policy. Material changes will be communicated via in-app notices or official channels. Continued use after updates means you accept the revised policy.
