Dirty Dice – Privacy Policy
Effective October 19, 2026 · Dirty Dice (couples dice game) for Android and iOS, provided by RiekApps
Key Points
- There is no account and no advertising. Dice, decks and your settings live on your phone.
- Anonymous usage analytics, crash reports and push notifications use Google Firebase.
- If you play apart in a room, the names you enter, the dice rolls and (if you host one) the faces of your own deck are shared with your partner through Firebase and deleted within 48 hours.
- With Pro’s AI deck maker, the idea you type is sent to our server and an AI model to write the dice. We keep neither the idea nor the result.
- Purchases are handled by Google Play or the App Store. We never see your payment details.
- Messages you send us from Contact us or Request a feature reach our support system with your app version and device model.
- Contact: riekapps@gmail.com

1. What Stays On Your Device
- Your chosen decks, intensity, the names and genders you type for the two players, purchases and settings are stored in the app on your phone.
- Decks you write yourself (Your dice) are saved only on your phone, and are removed when you delete them or uninstall the app.
- To remember when you usually play, the app keeps the times of your last few games on the phone and uses them to time evening reminders. They are not sent anywhere.
- Dares are acted out between you; nothing is recorded, and the app never uses the camera or microphone.
2. Playing Apart (Rooms)
- When you create or join a room to play from two phones, the app stores a temporary room in Google Cloud Firestore: the 6-character room code, the deck and intensity, whose turn it is and the latest roll, plus for each player the display name and gender typed in, language, and whether they are online.
- If the host plays one of their own decks, the room also stores that deck’s faces so the partner’s phone can roll the same dice.
- Each phone uses a random ID generated on the device. There is no login, and rooms can only be opened with their code.
- Rooms expire after 24 hours and are deleted automatically within 48 hours.
3. Dirty Dice Pro, The Friday Deck And The AI Deck Maker
- Pro is a Google Play subscription. The app keeps the purchase token Google Play gives it on the phone, so it can check that Pro is active.
- Friday decks are downloaded from Google Cloud Firestore. Downloading them sends no personal data.
- When you use the AI deck maker, the app sends the idea you typed, the app language and the Pro purchase token over an encrypted connection to our server (api.hq.riekapps.com). The server checks the token with Google Play, then sends only the idea and language through OpenRouter to an AI model provider (currently Google Gemini) to write the dice. Neither the idea nor the dice it returns are stored by us; the provider processes them only to answer the request under OpenRouter’s and its own terms.
- To prevent abuse, the server counts requests per purchase token and IP address in memory for up to 24 hours. The count is not written to disk or linked to you.
4. Analytics, Crash Reports And Settings
- Google Analytics for Firebase records anonymous usage events (for example which screen or category was opened, app version, device model, OS version, country and an app-instance ID) so we can see which features are used. It is not linked to your name or email, and we do not sell it.
- Firebase Crashlytics sends a crash report when the app crashes: the error, device model, OS version, app version and an installation ID. We use it only to fix bugs.
- Firebase Remote Config downloads settings (for example which content or offer to show) from Google’s servers. It uses an installation ID and sends no personal content.
5. Notifications
- If you allow notifications, Firebase Cloud Messaging gives your phone a push token so we can send occasional reminders or offers to all users, and our replies to messages you sent us. Evening reminders and room alerts are scheduled on the device itself, and are discreet by default (Settings → Discreet notifications). You can turn notifications off at any time in your phone’s settings.
6. Purchases
- Purchases are made through Google Play or the Apple App Store. The store processes the payment; RiekApps never sees or stores your card or payment details, only whether a purchase is active so the app can unlock it.
7. In-App Support And Feature Requests
- When you use Contact us or Request a feature inside Dirty Dice, we receive what you type, the topics you tick and, if you attach one, the screenshot you choose. The request also carries the app version, your device model and operating system version, your language and country setting, whether you have bought the app, and a scrambled identifier for this app on your device (not your advertising ID), so we can tell several messages came from the same person. If you give us an email address, we use it only to reply to you.
- These requests are sent over an encrypted connection to our own server and stored in our support system, which only RiekApps staff can access. Our replies come back inside the app and, if you allow notifications, as a push notification. We do not sell or share this information or use it for advertising. Requests are kept for up to 24 months, then deleted; you can ask us to delete yours earlier at riekapps@gmail.com.
- When Dirty Dice asks you to rate it, the number of stars you pick is recorded in our app analytics. If you pick 1 to 3 stars and choose to tell us what went wrong, that message is sent and kept like a Contact us request above. If you pick 4 or 5, we open the store's own rating page, which Google Play or the App Store provides under their terms.
8. What We Do Not Collect
- No advertising SDK, no account, and no access to your contacts, photos, camera, microphone or location. We do not sell personal data.
9. Your Choices And Rights
- You can delete everything the app keeps on your phone by clearing its storage or uninstalling it.
- You can reset or limit your advertising ID and app permissions at any time in your device settings.
- To ask what data relates to you, or to have it deleted, email riekapps@gmail.com with the subject "Dirty Dice privacy". We reply within 30 days. Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or the CCPA), you may have further rights, which we honour.
10. Age Requirement
- Dirty Dice is for adults aged 18 and over. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has used the app, contact us and we will delete any related data.
11. Changes To This Policy
- If this policy changes, we update this page and the effective date above. Material changes are also noted in the app’s release notes.
